The Wisdom of Eric

Trusting in the Process
In a recent session we discussed the difficulty of resisting the temptation to reduce all complexity to its base components so that we can understand things. This led us on to the idea of Zen and how profound wisdom can't be understood through intellect or academic analysis.
For me this means that I need to learn to trust intuitively that I know the answer, even when It's on the edge of my awareness. It feels like when I reach for it, it slips away. The answer doesn't live in the realm of knowledge, so when I strive for it, try to define it, apply cold logic to it, it retreats.

Like Newton's 3rd Law: for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
Eric asked me to think about the words ‘in my becoming is my remembering’.
For me, when I do this, it is the very definition of a process, like life itself is a process which reveals and unravels as we journey through it with all its attendant, ups and downs. Again I try to trust that I will receive an answer to every question eventually.
